Joe brings nearly three decades of banking expertise to his role as a business banker with Altra, having launched his career in 1998 and transitioning to business banking in 2008. With 17 years dedicated to serving business clients, he combines deep industry knowledge with a genuine commitment to helping businesses thrive.

A graduate of Viterbo University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, Joe is deeply invested in the La Crosse community. He currently serves as Chair of the La Crosse Area Chamber of Commerce and is the incoming Chair of both the La Crosse Area Community Foundation and Aptiv Inc., demonstrating his dedication to regional economic development and community impact.

Outside the office, Joe enjoys an active lifestyle with his wife and their five children—four daughters and one son. You’ll often find him exploring the outdoors through walking, hiking, biking, camping, and golfing, or embarking on family road trips to discover new places.

Joe’s approach is guided by a simple but powerful motto- “My purpose is to serve”. He believes in making people’s lives better at every touchpoint, bringing this philosophy to each member relationship and community interaction.
